Zamaurious Robertson Signs Letter Of Intent With North Carolina

Although Zamaurious Robertson had offers from ECU, Appalachian State University, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, and the Naval Academy, he signed his Letter of Intent to North Carolina on Wednesday, December 3, at a ceremony held at Dillon High School.
Dillon High School Wildcats Varsity Head Coach Kelvin Roller thanked everyone for coming to this signing for Za Robertson. “Za is a great young man. I congratulate his family for his upbringing. They set expectations for him, and he has lived up to them. Za excelled in football, basketball, and baseball while at Dillon High School. More importantly, he excelled with his grades. He has high character and is a good student athlete. He has performed well on and off the athletic fields. Now he has another opportunity. . He will play in the Shrine Bowl. This is a big day for Za. However, there is more to come for him,” remarked Coach Roller.
Za will soon be on the football field for North Carolina as he pursues a degree. “Za will be under the instruction of one of the most renowned football coach and the most famous for his time as head coach of the New England Patriots, but he is now the current head coach for the University of North Carolina.
In the 13-game football season that just ended for the Dillon Wildcats, Zamaurious Robertson played in all 13 games. He amassed 72 receptions for 1,367 yards with an 18.99-yd average per reception. He averaged 105.5 yards per game with the longest reception covering 65 yards. He scored 15 touchdowns and fumbled only twice during the season. He also returned a kickoff for 25 yards. Additionally, he returned 10 punts for 147 yards for an average of 14.7 yards per return with the longest return of 32 yards. Robertson carried 4 times. On defense, he had 10 solo tackles of which 6 were solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles. He had 2 interceptions that were returned for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Za Robertson will be in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Saturday, December 20, at the Viking Stadium of Spartanburg High School with kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
