Mount Calvary Baptist Church held Brotherhood, WMU, and BYU meetings on Monday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m.
After a delicious meal and fellowship in the Mount Calvary Family Life Center, the groups dispersed to the proper locations.
Joe Price, Brotherhood Director, opened with prayer followed by Kenny Pittman, Jr., who introduced the guest speaker, Wilton Bass, who delivered his inspiring testimony of 33 years of service to the Lord.
Bass stated that 33 years ago he had an encounter with the Lord similar to that of Paul who became known as Saul. For years, God tugged at Bass. Jesus moved and called Wilton Bass. Since Jesus came into his life, he has not been nervous about speaking for the Lord. “Whatever God’s will for me, I will do it,” remarked Bass. “I struggled in the beginning with my faith, but now I am saved and sanctified. God has called us to be His disciples. We carry the Word of God to the people. I am a country boy saved by God’s grace,” Bass exclaimed.
As Christians, we all have a calling. “Follow me as I follow the Lord,” stated Bass.
Mount Calvary Baptist Church Pastor Harold Cooke invites everyone to attend the services twice Sunday and Wednesday p.m. plus all of the church’s special services and receive a blessing.
