The Waccamaw Warriors won 5-2 over the Dillon Wildcats in conference varsity baseball game played in Dillon on Tuesday, April 1.
The Dillon Wildcats place a run onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning and added a run in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead over the Waccamaw Warriors. Waccamaw responded with 4 runs in the top of the fifth inning and added a run in the top of the sixth inning.
Dillon committed 2 errors in the game while Waccamaw committed only 1 error.
Waccamaw’s Hudson Paul had a hit and a rbi in 2 at-bats. Ty Kerns had a single and a rbi in4 plate appearances. Bayden Stacy had a double, 2 rbi, and score a run in 4 plate appearance. Cameron Craft, C. Galasso, and Corrin Green each had a single, 2 walks, and scored a run in 4 plate appearances. Rostan Pate had a single in 4 at-bats.
Waccamaw’s Ty Kerns pitched 4 innings and allowed 3 hits, 1 earned run, walked 2, and struck out 8. Cameron Craft pitched 3 innings and allowed 2 hits, 1 unearned run, walked 1, and struck out 2.
Waccamaw is 6-5 overall and 3-2 in AAA Region 7.
Dillon will host Georgetown on Friday, April 4, at 7:00 p.m.
Waccamaw will host Johnsonville on Wednesday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. and will host Dillon on Friday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m.
