VFW CELEBRATES MAIN STREET: Members of the Dillon VFW were on Main Street on Saturday to celebrate the Dillon business community at this annual street festival. VFW Member Jerry Alford gave small stick American Flags to the children, and VFW Member Danielle Smith welcomed people visiting the VFW pop-up tent booth and told them about the Dillon VFW and its work for Veterans and their families. The VFW sold 50/50 raffle tickets supporting its Post Building Fund, and many in the crowd donated to the Post Buddy Poppy program. Miss USC Gamecock, Lea Foster Khalil, setup her water splash fund raising booth next to the VFW where she raised funds for the Dillon VFW and for the medical bills of a local EMT worker. Dillon VFW Post Commander John Harlow says THANK YOU Dillon for your support of Veterans.
