Unity In The Community Begins

The Fourth Annual Unity In The Community began on Sunday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. at East Dillon Baptist Church with Pastor James Smith welcoming everyone to the first of 4 services.
He offered a prayer followed by brief announcements.
Brother Kenny Rowell offered the offertory prayer.
The choir blessed the congregation with a song.
Rev. James Smith introduced Evangelist Jesse Carpenter and his wife, Rebekak. They sang a duet hymn to the delight of the congregation.
Rev. Carpenter is the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Mount Gilead, North Carolina.
Rev. Carpenter’s sermon was from John 17:20-26.
At the conclusion, an invitation was given, and the Postlude followed.

Dr. Horton is the Senior Pastor of Church at The Mill in Spartanburg, South Carolina. During his 20-service service there, the Church at The Mill has been recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in North America. Dr. Horton frequently speaks at FCA camps, NCAA and NFL chapels, and pastors’ conferences. He was a member of the Auburn University football team. He has been married for over 23 years to his wife, Laurel. They have 6 children. Dr. Horton is a passionate outdoorsman.
