Dillon, S.C. – November 17, 2025 – Treyon McLellan pleaded guilty to two counts of Voluntary Manslaughter and one count of Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime in Dillon County.
These charges stem from an incident on October 12, 2016, in the Riverdale community of Dillon County in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
McLellan, now 39, was charged in the shooting deaths of Ju’uan Johnson, 28, and Nicolette Blue, 27, at a residence on Nelson Drive outside the City of Dillon. Blue was nine weeks pregnant at the time of the homicide.
Under the plea agreement negotiated by both parties and accepted by the Honorable Debra McCaslin, McLellan received:
• 30 years total on the two Voluntary Manslaughter charges (running concurrently)
• 3 years on the Weapon charge (running consecutively)
• All charges are no-parole offenses
• McLellan received credit for 9 years and 1 month already served since his arrest
The case was investigated by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). Prosecution was handled by Senior Deputy Solicitor Kernard Redmond and Assistant Solicitor J.T. Baxley.
Solicitor Paul “Mike” Burch praised the teamwork and persistence required to bring the case to a conclusion.
