Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

A recent traffic stop led to drug charges.
On April 22, 2024, Deputy T. Cox was on patrol on Pleasant Hill Road when he observed a vehicle cross the center lane and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver of the truck was identified as Cigi Skipper, and the passenger was identified as Gary Williams. Law enforcement was aware that the passenger had active warrants at the time of the traffic stop and did detain him.
Further investigation led to a search of the vehicle, where law enforcement located approximately 5.01 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1.53 grams of suspect crack cocaine, and multiple rounds of ammunition as well as a .22 magnum pistol.
At this time both subjects were placed under arrest with the following charges.
-Gary Williams: Distribution of meth-2nd offense, Possession of cocaine base-1st offense, Felon in possession of a firearm. Active warrants were for 2 counts of assault and battery 3rd degree, and trespassing.
