Three people have been charged in the murder of a Dillon County man.
Dillon County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and the Violent Crime Task Force arrested the following on August 9th in the murder of Jaheem Maurice Farmer:
* James Jabari McNeil, age 21, of Dillon, who is charged with Murder and Armed Robbery.
* Na’Sir Zemarion Moody, age 19, of Dillon, who is charged with Murder, Armed Robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
* A 17-year-old juvenile of Dillon, who is also charged with Murder, Armed Robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
All are being held at the Dillon County Detention Center where they await a bond hearing.
On Tuesday, August 6th 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Joe Drive in the Riverdale community in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon their arrival, Deputies located a deceased male with a gunshot wound. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified him as Jaheem Maurice Farmer, age 22, of Dillon.
According to his obituary, he is the son of Mr. Cleveland Farmer, Sr. and Beverly White Farmer. The obituary states that “A Celebration of Life service in honor of Mr. Jaheem Maurice Farmer will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. at New Memorial Temple of Christ, with the burial following at Pinehill Church Cemetery in Latta, SC. A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 12 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Samuel Bartell Memorial Chapel.” Bartell Funeral home is handling the arrangements.
