Three Latta football players signed to play at the next level. The signings took place on Wednesday, April 9, at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta, S.C.
All three of these young men thanked everyone for being present for this occasion. They also thanked the coaches, teaching staff, teammates, etc. for all that had been done for them.
Amir Rogers who played for Latta High School for 3 years received offers from Erskine, Ottawa, and Methodist, he will attend St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C., where he will major in engineering. He should be a good fit as his skill sets fits their system.

Although Rogers excels at football, he also plays basketball and track.
When Rogers was asked about his most recalled memory in football, he was quick to respond “My first TD against Green Sea Floyds.” As he transitions from high school to the college level, he will carry his work ethic and attitude.
The award-winning linebacker/defensive end should receive playing time on the football squad for St. Andrews University. Rogers received awards including All-Region, All-Zone, All Blitz, and North/South.

Having been influenced in football by his stepfather, Wallace has been playing football since he was only 5 years old.
As Wallace pursues his interest in football, he will carry his grit with him. As he recalls his best memory of his football career at Latta High School, he remarks that the “Whistle” sounds in his ears often.”
