The Harvesters’ Quartet will be at East Dillon Baptist Church Sunday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m.
The Harvesters’ Quartet was organized in 1953. Since that time the group has become one of the top gospel groups in America.
The personnel have changed over the years, but the group maintains sincerity and dedication that was handed down to them. They are comprised of a group of musicians who strive for excellence in their appearances. They work hard to present an uplifting and inspirational program. Their Christian faith is shown throughout their concerts as they share the joy and hope of God’s plan of salvation for our lives. They focus on establishing the acceptance of Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior while they deliver His Word of salvation.
The group members include Tommy Young, Tenor, who began his career in 1973 and has been singing since that time. He was with the Foundations and The Glorymen Quartet. He is married and has 4 sons.
Danny Parker is the lead singer and manager. He and his brother once sang with The Noblemen. He is from Sanford, N.C.
Allen Hunter is the Baritone singer. He was formerly with the Revelaires Quartet. He is from Raleigh, N.C.
