The Latta Schools Educational Foundation in partnership with the Latta Police Department invite parents, the community, and law enforcement to a comprehensive training on Digital Citizenship, Online Safety, and Social Media on September 16th at 6:00 p.m. at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta. Stephanie Hite, Educational Coordinator of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, will present the comprehensive training workshop. She works with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office in Columbia to provide this free service throughout South Carolina.
Hite commented, “In today’s digital age, students, parents, and professionals face constant challenges related to technology, both in and out of the classroom. Our mission is to deliver this vital education to schools, parents, community groups, businesses, and all other residents as a free service throughout South Carolina.”
Hite will have the opportunity to speak with all of the students in the Latta School District the following week.
