SCDOT Requests Public Comment on the 2021-2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to Include the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) American Rescue Plan Act (ARP)

Columbia, S.C. (May 16, 2024) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include the FTA FY2021 American Rescue Plan Act Section 5310 Program. SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period from May 16, 2024 through June 6, 2024.
These rural and small urban projects were selected for funding in accordance with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Federal FY 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) Section 5310 (Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities) Program. These projects were also selected through a Statewide Call for Projects. The intent of the funding is to support operational wages for eligible human services agency transit staff.
To assist those who do not have internet access, a printed copy of this press release and any supporting information is available for public review and comment at any of the South Carolina Department of Transportation District Offices and the South Carolina Carolina Council of Government Offices.
