Rev. Rickey Stuckey Gives Farewell Sermon

The Rev. Rickey L. Stuckey, Pastor of Saint Stephens United Methodist Church, has farewell sermon on Sunday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m.
The announcements were made followed by a hymn by the choir. After the Call to Worship, a hymn of praise, “This Is the Day” was sung followed by a prayer.
Doretha Page sang a hymn.
After the Psalter, Psalm 42, was recited followed by the Affirmation of Faith followed by Gloria Patri.
Doretha Page offered more announcements.
The Mission Statement was presented.
It was stated that Rev. Stuckey would be going to Centenary.
City of Dillon Mayor Tally McColl offered remarks about Pastor Stuckey followed by First Presbyterian Church’s Pastor, Rev. Matta Adams, who also offered remarks about Pastor Stuckey who is being transitioned to another church. Others were present also offered remarks and thanked Rev. Stuckey for his service to the Lord while in Dillon.
Mary Bethea also spoke and thanked Rev. Stuckey and his wife for their wonderful service to the Lord and the church.
A Lake View grad who also attended NETC for 2 years while in Lake View High School received accolades and a gift from Saint Stephens United Methodist Church.
A conference report of the meeting held in Greenville was given.
The Saint Stephens choir offered 2 special hymns.
After the offering, the Prayer of Illumination was stated.
The Scripture Lessons were from 1st Kings 19: 1-15 and Luke 8: 26-39.
The Saint Stephens United Methodist Choir offered 2 choir selections.
Rev. Rickey L. Stuckey, who has been in Dillon for 4 years and pastoring for 10 years, spoke from Jeremiah 29:11.
