Red Cross Month Proclaimed In City of Dillon

The City of Dillon Mayor Tally McColl signed the Red Cross Proclamation designating March as Red Cross Month in Dillon, S.C.
The signing took place at the City of Dillon Visitors’ Center at 106 Railroad Avenue, Dillon, S.C., on Monday, March 10, at 11:00 a.m.
Mayor McColl thanked the Red Cross for all they do for Dillon County and elsewhere.
The Red Cross responded to 29 fire events in Dillon County in 2024 that served 114 citizens. Of those 29 fires, 23 were in the City of Dillon that served 85 of the 114 citizens. Versie Page is the local contact for Dillon as she serves all of the Pee Dee including her home town of Dillon. She brings comfort, support, aid, etc. to the victims.
Not only does the Red Cross respond to fires, the Red Cross also responds to storms such as Helene and others.
