FLORENCE, SC – The Pee Dee State Farmers Market will hold The Grinding of the Greens, a free Christmas tree recycling event, Dec. 29-31 and Jan. 2-3.
Pee Dee-area customers can bring live Christmas trees to the market for recycling, and take home mulch at no cost. Please note that trees must be free of all ornamental items and lights.
The market is also stocked with local winter produce. Some unique vendors and one-of-a-kind specialty shops will be on hand, and Aloha Kitchen will be open and serving delicious Hawaiian food.
The five-day event runs December 29, 30 and 31, 2025, and January 2 and 3, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Pee Dee State Farmers Market is located at 2513 W. Lucas St. in Florence.
Admission and parking are free. The market has complimentary electric vehicle charging stations.
