Pleasant Grove Baptist Church held its annual WMU Focus Sunday today, bringing together members of the congregation for a morning centered on missions, fellowship, and remembrance.
The celebration began with a brunch enjoyed by church members and guests, creating a warm time of fellowship before the program. During the service, the Women’s Missionary Union shared highlights from the past year, outlining various mission projects and outreach efforts that have supported needs within the local community and beyond.
A meaningful part of the morning was dedicated to honoring the memory of Mrs. Helon Herring, who played a key role in restarting the WMU ministry at Pleasant Grove. Church members reflected on her commitment to service and her passion for missions, noting that her efforts continue to have a lasting impact on the church’s outreach work.
WMU Focus Sunday served as both a celebration of the ministry’s accomplishments and a reminder of the church’s ongoing mission to serve others.
