Pam Johnson Recognized For 31 Years Of Law Enforcement Service

May 19th, 2024 marked Deputy Pam Johnson’s 31 years in law enforcement.
Deputy Johnson began her career May 19th, 1993, working for the Dillon County Detention Center (it was known as the Dillon County Jail back then). Deputy Johnson worked her way through the ranks at the detention center to the rank of Lieutenant. She retired in November of 2019. After a short break, Deputy Johnson came back to work at the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office at the request of Sheriff Douglas Pernell as a Court Security Officer. Deputy Johnson is currently serving the citizens of Dillon County in the same capacity.
Deputy Johnson has served under the leadership of four Sheriffs; Sheriff Harold Grice, Sheriff Major Hulon, Sheriff Douglas Pernell and is currently serving under Sheriff Jamie Hamilton.
Deputy Johnson said she is passionate about helping others. She loves what she does and said, “Thank you Lord I’m still able to serve.”
