The Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks defeated the Dillon Wildcats 42-0 on Friday, November 21, in Mount Pleasant, S.C.,
Dillon took the opening kickoff and returned it to their own 21-yard line. From there, the Wildcats moved the football to their own 48-yard line and had to punt on fourth down. Oceanside Collegiate Academy began on their own 23-yard line.
With 8 minutes remaining in the first quarter, Oceanside Collegiate Academy scored on a passing play for the first score of the game. The PAT was good.
Again, the Wildcats were forced to punt on the next series of play. Oceanside Collegiate Academy has the football on their own 49-yard line. Oceanside Collegiate Academy moved the football to Dillon’s 23-yard line with 6 minutes to go in the first quarter. With 3 minutes remaining in the first quarter, Oceanside Collegiate Academy rushed for a 9-yard touchdown. The PAT was good. Dillon trailed 14-0.
The Landsharks defense prevailed again, and Dillon was forced to punt. This time, the Landsharks began on their own 38-yard line. With 8 minutes remaining in the third quarter, Oceanside Collegiate Academy passed for a touchdown from Dillon’s 39-yard line. The PAT was good. The Landsharks were up 21-0.
After the kickoff, Dillon had the football on their own 45-yard line. Dillon’s offense moved the football to Oceanside’s 28-yard line before an interception by the Landsharks turned into another score for them. The PAT was good. Dillon trailed by 28 points.
Oceanside kicked off to Dillon. Dillon began offense on their own 35-yard line. From there, the Wildcats moved the pigskin to Oceanside’s 13-yard line with about 2 minutes remaining in the first half. Dillon turned the football over on downs on the Landsharks 29-yard line with a minute to go in the first half. At halftime, Oceanside Collegiate Academy led 28-0.
The opening kickoff to the Landsharks in the third quarter resulted in good field position as Oceanside had the football on Dillon’s 43-yard line. In a few moments, the Landsharks had crossed the goal line for another score. The PAT was good. Oceanside led 35-0.
Dillon began on their own 35-yard line after the kickoff. Dillon moved the football to their own 40-yard line. Dillon punted, and Oceanside had the football on their 30-yard line. The Landsharks completed this drive with a touchdown pass to go up 41-0 over the Wildcats. The PAT was good. Oceanside led 42-0.
The Dillon Wildcats’ offense went to work and moved the football to Oceanside’s 22-yard line. Dillon turned the football over on downs, and Oceanside began on their own 13-yard line.
Dillon intercepted a pass on Oceanside’s 3-yard line. On fourth down, the Landsharks intercepted a pass and returned it to their own 20-yard line.
Dillon ended the season with 9 wins and 4 losses.
Oceanside Collegiate Academy is 11-2 on the season.
Oceanside Collegiate Academy will face Loris on Friday, November 28.
