No bids were received to purchase the Dillon County Airport, according to Dillon County Administrator Tim Harper.
The airport had been put up for bid on SCBO (South Carolina Business Opportunities).
The property was described as “42.38+/- acres identified as Tax Parcel 040-00-00-034. The property is located less than 0.25 miles from Interstate 95. it is located at the corner of Radford Blvd. (SC Hwy. 9) & Airport Rd. The property currently has a 3,000 ft. runway located on the property. Preference will be given to buyers that will continue to use the property as an airport.”
The minimum bid was $1,200,000.
The acceptance of bids opened on October 21 and closed tomorrow, November 15th, at 10:00 a.m.
Harper said there have been no decisions made on the next steps.
