On January 1st at noontime on the county courthouse steps, a community prayer service, sponsored by the Dillon County Christian Ministers Alliance and Empowerment in Action Organization, will be held. The prayer service provides the opportunity for persons of faith to offer prayers to God for our country, our state, and our community as we begin a New Year. God in His grace and mercy continues to bless America, and prayers of thanks will be offered. We have much to be thankful for in our lives. Prayers will be offered for our nation, our state, our county, our city and towns, our schools, our churches, our families and our homes, our first responders, our elected and appointed government leaders, our active-duty military, our Veterans and their families, and more. Philippians 4:6 (ESV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Join us to pray to God for His continued watch care as we begin this New Year. Should you not be able to attend, please take a moment around noontime on Wednesday and say a prayer of hope and thanksgiving. God bless you all.
