Pastors, officials, and members of the community gathered at noon at the Dillon County Courthouse lawn to pray and welcome in the new year. Among those who prayed were Pastor Tommy Pittman, John Harlow, Mayor Tally McColl, Rev. Gypsie Murdaugh, Dr. James Orr, Pastor Jamont McRae, Rev. James Smith, and Overseer Joseph Graham.
