Dillon School District Four and the Dillon High School Athletic Department announced today their intentions to implement a new seating requirement for spectators at the football games.
They posted a letter which states:
Dillon School District Four and the Dillon High School Athletic Department, in cooperation with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Dillon Police Department, will implement a seating requirement for spectators at Dillon Memorial Stadium beginning with this Friday’s home varsity football game.
Fans will be asked to view the game from the bleachers unless traveling to and from the concessions or restrooms. Fans will not be allowed to stand along the fence or any open areas surrounding the fence during the game. This implementation is to enhance the total game day experience for both Wildcat fans and visiting fans with an atmosphere that is both accommodating and safe.
Dillon School District Four appreciates your cooperation with this transition. Go Wildcats!
Sincerely,
Keith Coward
Dillon School District Four Athletic Director
Florence District One, Latta, Hartsville, Darlington, Lamar, and other districts already have similar policies in place.
