Latta Police Chief Allan Rogers was sworn in as chief at the Latta Gazebo on Thursday evening in front of a large crowd. Chaplain Paul Gasque said Rogers comes with an impeccable record and is very qualified for this job. Gasque then opened with prayer. Rogers was then sworn in by Judge Janette Dupree. After he was sworn, Rogers thanked everyone for coming. He said he loved the town and the people and that he looked forward to serving.
