The Mullins Auctioneers defeated the Atlantic Collegiate Academy of Conway, S.C., 38-14 in varsity football action played in Mullins, S.C., on Friday, September 19. With the win, Mullins is now 2-2 for the season.
After the first quarter of play, Mullins held a slim 1-point lead, 8-7, over Atlantic Collegiate. In the second quarter of play, neither team could muster a score. Mullins tacked on 30 onto the scoreboard in the third quarter while holding Atlantic Collegiate Academy to 7 points. Neither team crossed the goal line in the fourth quarter.
Mullins’ K. Bethea completed 9 of 12 passes for 100 yards and rushed 16 times for 132 yards. A. Campbell carried 7 times for 53 yards. T. Allen carried 7 times for 67 yards.
The Auctioneers’ A. Crawford had a reception for 9 yards. J. Mills had a reception for 5 yards and a touchdown. K. Bridgett had 4 receptions for 46 yards. A. Lee had 2 receptions for 33 yards. T. Allen had a reception for 7 yards.

The Mullins coaching staff consists of Head Coach March Lowery who will be calling the plays. Assistant Coach Donald Brown will coach the wide receivers while Tony Nelson is the defensive backs coach. Aykelle Cross is the defensive line coach, and Jeremy Oxendine is coaching the linebackers and running backs. Coach Kamrone McAllister is a newcomer to the coaching staff.
Mullins will host Marion on Friday, September 26. Atlantic Collegiate Academy will face 3-2 Oceanside Collegiate Academy of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. on Friday, September 19.
