For this year’s VBS, Mount Calvary Baptist Church presents “True North, Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.” Each day children and youth gather at Sing and Play peak for songs, dances, skits, and our mission offering.
There are classes for ages 2-3 through youth with a senior adult ladies’ class. The 2-3 year olds explore at their own pace and level in a classroom all their own. Graded groups are based on the grade completed this past year in school. The youth meet upstairs in the Youth Room following the Opening Assembly.
Each day children will learn that Jesus is a friend we can always trust. He is a friend we can trust when we wonder about things, when we feel alone, when we feel powerless, when we need hope, and when we need help. At “True North”, children will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, experience fun Bible adventures, and explore cool experiments in Imagination Station. Plus, kids will visit the KidVid Cinema and take a train ride through the parking lot. VBS concludes at 8:30. Children will be dismissed each evening at the double doors at the gym. Parents need to walk up to meet them there.
“True North” begins on Sunday, June1 and continues through Thursday, June 5 from 6:00 until 8:30 each evening. Registration begins each evening at 5:45. Supper will be served to children who attend VBS at 6:00.
