For this year’s VBS, Mount Calvary Baptist Church presents “Scuba, Diving Into Friendship With God.” Each day children and youth gather at Sing and Play Splash for songs, dances, skits, and our mission offering.
There are classes for ages 2-3 through youth with a senior adult ladies class. The 2-3 year olds explore at their own pace and level in a classroom all their own. Graded groups are based on the grade completed this past year in school. The youth meet upstairs in the Youth Room following the Opening Assembly.
Each day children will learn that Jesus is a friend in all situations. Jesus is a friend who’s real, who loves, is a friend we can trust, is a friend forever, and is a friend for everyone. At “Scuba”, children will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, experience fun Bible adventures, and explore cool experiments with water. Plus, kids will visit the KidVid Cinema and take a train ride through the parking. There will also be a dive truck each evening for them to enjoy. VBS concludes at 8:30 with the fin-tastic finale. Children will be dismissed each evening at the double doors at the gym. Parents need to walk up to meet them there.
“Scuba” begins on Sunday, June 9 and continues through Thursday, June 13 from 6:00 until 8:30 each evening. Registration begins each evening at 6:00. Supper will be served to children who attend VBS at 6:00.
