Miss Gamecock 2024 Lea Foster Khalil will be competing for the title of Miss South Carolina on Saturday, June 29, at the Township Auditorium in Columbia.
The pageant will air on WPDE at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The winner of the state pageant goes on to compete for Miss America.
Khalil has been competing in the preliminaries this week (June 26-28). She is a STEM and State Scholar Finalist. Her community service project Justice For Medicine which strives to bring healthcare to underserved and underprivileged populations.
Khalil, the daughter of Nader and Tara Khalil, is a 2021 graduate of Latta High School. At the University of South Carolina, she is majoring in Neuroscience with minors in Dance and Medical Humanities and Culture at USC. She is pre-medical with plans to pursue an MD/PhD Program after graduation.
