MEET THE SCHOOL EDUCATORS: Alison Moody – Dillon Elementary School

ALISON MOODY
DILLON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

My name is Alison Moody. I teach Kindergarten at Dillon Elementary School. This is my 18th year teaching. I’ve taught 2nd grade, been a Reading Coach and am now back in my Kindergarten classroom. I have a Masters in Instructional Accommodations with a Reading Coach Endorsement. I was blessed to work on a committee with Former Superintendent of Education, Molly Spearman, and have met with our current Superintendent of Education, Ellen Weaver. I am married to Mitchell and have two sons, Hayden and Ethan. I also have two furry boys named Basil and Ranger. I love to read, travel, cheer on my Clemson Tigers, watch my boys play sports and spend time with my boys! I have met Gerry Brooks, and he is just as funny in person as he is online. This school year I am looking forward to meeting all of my kiddos and watching them fall in love with learning. There is something special about seeing those faces light up when they begin to understand what is going on. I also can’t wait to sing and dance with my class. It’s always a good time in room 110. I am blessed to do what I do everyday. I love keeping up with my students as they grow and seeing what great individuals they become. I spend my days with our future leaders and that is a gift.
