The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has arrested Wendy Rabon Shaw, 57, of Aynor. Shaw is charged with Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult, Financial Transaction Card Theft, Financial Transaction Card Fraud, less than $500, and Banking: Federally Chartered or Insured Financial Institution Crime.
It is alleged that on or about April 30, 2024, Shaw was the caregiver for an elderly citizen in Marion County. In her capacity as that caregiver, Shaw took the patient’s debit card without permission. It is further alleged that Shaw made purchases for personal use with the bank card at multiple establishments between Marion and Aynor without permission.
Shaw is currently housed at the Marion County Detention Center.
