Marcus McGirt was elected as the Latta Town Administrator at the Latta Town Council meeting on Thursday night.
Council member Lizzie Crawford made the motion, which was seconded by Council member Brad Coward.
Council member Jarett Taylor was nominated by Council member Abbott Shelley, which was seconded by Mayor Teresa Mason.
The vote on McGirt took place first. Council members Brad Coward, Lizzie Crawford, Marcus McGirt, and Danny Rogers voted in favor of McGirt.
Since McGirt received a majority of four votes it was not necessary to vote on the nomination of Taylor.
