A man has been arrested in a shooting of an individual on North 9th Avenue, Dillon, last Friday, according to Dillon Police Chief David Lane.
The suspect, Vernie Durand Blount, was arrested Monday afternoon at a residence on East Dargan Street in Dillon.
He is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated.
