DILLON – The Man 2 Man Fatherhood Initiative is thrilled to announce its grand opening on September 24, 2024, at 4 PM. The event will be held at 206 E. Roosevelt Street, Dillon, SC 29536. This momentous occasion marks a significant expansion of our commitment to supporting fathers in our community, reinforcing the vital role they play in their children’s lives.
Since its inception in 2000, the Man 2 Man Fatherhood Initiative has dedicated itself to addressing the critical issue of father absence in Marlboro County. With the support of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina and the collaboration of local organizations, we have developed comprehensive programs aimed at empowering fathers to become actively involved in their children’s upbringing. Our mission is clear: to foster positive, consistent father figures who can help break the cycle of poverty and improve outcomes for families.
The grand opening celebration will feature inspiring speeches from local leaders, testimonials from fathers who have benefited from our programs, and opportunities for community engagement. Attendees will learn more about our free community-based programs, which include support groups, job coaching, and connections to essential services that help fathers fulfill their responsibilities and secure their parental rights.
We believe that when fathers are engaged, the entire community benefits. Our programs not only enhance fathers’ lives but also strengthen families and contribute to a healthier, safer South Carolina. By fostering responsible, active fatherhood, we aim to create a ripple effect that touches the lives of children, families, and the community as a whole.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this significant milestone and to learn how we can collectively work towards a brighter future for our children. Together, we can build stronger families and a better South Carolina for all citizens.
