Main Street SC, a program of the Municipal Association of SC, hosted its third quarter training on Wednesday, September 17, at the City of Dillon Visitor Center. The full-day session brought together downtown development professionals from across the state to dive into the Main Street Approach and explore practical strategies for revitalizing historic commercial districts.
Led by Main Street SC staff and guest speakers, the training covered community analysis, strategy development, and implementation of Transformation Strategies — tools that help guide downtown planning and economic development. Over 45 attendees took part in interactive exercises using real data and feedback regarding Dillon’s option draft potential strategies for Dillon’s downtown district.
Since its establishment in 1983, Main Street SC has worked with communities across the state to strengthen local economies and foster vibrant, thriving downtowns.
