The Main Street Methodist Men and the community braved the windy, cold weather to deliver food to 75 families on Saturday, December 20. This is one of the projects of the Main Street Methodist Men. Usually the entire church participates in this worthy cause. Volunteers delivered these items to the families.
Today, the families served were given a turkey, a ham, 2 chickens, 1-pound of bacon, potatoes, canned items, flour, sugar, pasta, sauces, and much more. Each family received over $200.00 of groceries.
Ronnie “Catfish” Carter advised that earlier this week the church had delivered food and clothing to 20 veterans’ families. Each box contained a “yellow” card that informed all of these families how to get food from Helping Hands.
Main Street Methodist Church is located at 401 East Main Street, Dillon, S.C.
