Madison Stevens Signs To Play At The University of South Carolina At Sumter

Madison Stevens signed to continue her education and volleyball at the next level with the University of South Carolina at Sumter where she will major in nursing.
Stevens has devoted most of her time in the gym working out and working on the basics of volleyball, a game that she has played for 3 years. In the tenth grade, she was honored as the Rookie of the Year and in her senior year she made All-State, defensive player.
Stevens believes she will be a good fit at USC-Sumter as she has grown and will continue to grow as a person and as an athlete.
As she transitions from high school to the college level, she will carry everything that she has learned in high school but mainly the relationships she has created with people at the school.
She plays outside and defensive specialist.
The one item she remembers most about her career in this sport is the technique that she was taught by each coach that she had.
Stevens’ sister, Aurora Freed, stated “I am beyond proud of Maddy and her accomplishments. Because despite her life at home, she’s overcome so much, defying all odds against her. She’s created a new path and future for herself through grit, self-discipline, dedication, and determination. I just want you to know when you think no one’s looking, or notices, or cares, I have and will always continue to do so. Over the years, you have grown into a remarkable young woman. I can’t wait to see what your future holds, because I know it’s radiant. I wouldn’t wait to call anyone else by sister, I’m so proud of you, and I love you more than you’ll ever know.”
