After forty-seven years in public education Lynn Liebenrood has announced her retirement at the end of the 2023-2024 School Year. She began her career in the Newberry School District in 1978 as second grade teacher. After moving to Latta in 1980 with her husband George, she taught at Latta Primary School for 9 years. In 1988 she was then employed in Dillon District One as the Staff Development Coordinator. The following year she was promoted to Director of Federal Programs. She remained in Lake View for ten years before transferring to Dillon District Two as Director of Accountability and Assessment. After consolidation of Lake View and Dillon she served as Director of Student Services. Lynn was afforded the opportunity to become Chief Human Resource Officer for the last three years.

It is now time, after 47 years of serving, educating and leading others to enjoy the kind of flexibility in my life that will enable me to spend more time with family, my five grandchildren, and friends. I have had a blessed career working with remarkably passionate and brilliant people in the Latta, Lake View, and Dillon School Districts. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of the lives of so many people for so long. I will be forever grateful to have been a part of all three districts. I will always cherish the school boards, staff, families and the Dillon County community for providing me with the extraordinary opportunity to serve as a teacher, Coordinator, Director in various roles, and now Chief Human Resource Officer.

It has been a privilege to work alongside so many talented administrators, teachers, students, community leaders, volunteers, parents and staff. Being able to witness the numerous innovative and creative ideas unfold during the years has been a fulfilling experience. Now on to the next chapter of my life!
