Loris Wins 7-3 Over Dillon

The visiting Loris Lions won 7-3 over the Dillon Wildcats in varsity baseball action played in Dillon on Tuesday, March 25.
Dillon took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. However, Loris answered with 3 runs in the top of the third inning. The Lions added 4 runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Loris had 10 hits in the game while Dillon had 9 hits. Loris committed 2 errors, and Dillon committed 3 errors.
Aiden Suggs began on the mound for Loris. He pitched 3.2 innings and allowed 4 hits, 3 runs of which 2 were earned, walked 1, and struck out 6. Layne Todd pitched 3.1 innings and allowed 5 hits, no runs, walked 1, and struck out no one.
Loris’ Gavin Gore stole 2 bases while Ethan Hardee and Aiden Suggs each stole a base.
The Lions’ Avery Todd, Jackson Huff, and Gavin Gore each had 2 hits and a rbi. Ethan Hardee and Hayden Day each had a hit and 2 rbi while Layne Todd and Noah Fowler each had a hit.
The 3-5 Dillon Wildcats will face the 6-4 Loris Lions in Loris on Friday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m.
