The Latta Vikings boys won 54-36 over the Lake View Wild Gators in varsity basketball played in Lake View on Thursday, February 12, before a large crowd of fans.
Latta controlled the tipoff and wasted little time in placing 6 quick points onto the scoreboard. Latta managed to increase the lead to 9 points, 14-5, after the first quarter of play. Lake View committed 3 fouls while Latta committed 2 fouls in the first quarter of play.
In the second quarter of play, Latta scored 17 points while holding Lake View to 5 points. At halftime, Latta enjoyed a 31-10 lead. Latta committed 5 fouls in the second quarter, and Lake View committed 4 fouls.
In the third quarter of play, Latta added 16 points to the scoreboard while holding Lake Views to 6 points. In the final quarter of play, Lake View scored 20 points, and Latta scored 7 points.
