The Latta Lady Vikings won 3-1 over the visiting Lake View Lady Wild Gators in round 4 of Region 6 A match-up in varsity volleyball played in Latta on Tuesday, September 16.
The set scores were: set 1, Latta 25 and Lake View 22; set 2, Latta 25 and Lake View 15; set 3, Latta 17 and Lake View 25; and set 4, Latta 25 and Lake View 21.
Latta’s Madison Stevens had 7 aces, 11 kills, and 8 digs. Alyiah Tisdale had 5 kills and 5 blocks. Ahliyah Smiling had 12 kills and 2 blocks. Chase Walters had 29 assists. Lillie Jordan had 2 blocks. Samantha Townsend had 10 digs.
Latta is 5-2 for the season.
Genesis Rogers is the head coach for Latta, and Angie King is the head coach for Lake View.
Latta will travel to Green Sea Floyds on Thursday, September 18, for a 6:30 p.m. game.
Lake View will host Hemingway on Thursday, September 18, at 6:00 p.m. for Senior Night.
