Latta Takes Down Baptist Hill 34-14

The 8-2 Latta Vikings took down the 6-5 Baptist Hill Bobcats 34-14 in the first game of the varsity football playoffs in a game played in Latta on Friday, November 7.
By halftime, the Latta Vikings had a 26-0 lead over the visitors.
Latta’s Fischer Richardson carried 3 times in a row to begin the third quarter of play. The Vikings’ #5, Irangabiye Johnson carried for a first down. On fourth and goal from the 7-yard line, Fischer Richardson was stopped on the 10-yard line.
Baptist Hill took over the football on their own 10-yard line. After a 5-yard penalty, the Bobcats faced a third down and 6 yards to go when the Bobcats’ #25, Nesbitt, rushed for a first down. With 1:41 remaining in the third quarter, the Bobcats’ #1 carried the football into the end zone after the reception. The 2-point conversion play was good. Latta led 24-8
After 3 quarters of play, Latta was up 26-8.
The Latta Vikings added a touchdown and a 2-point conversion in the final quarter play. Baptist Hill added a touchdown and a PAT in the fourth quarter.
Latta’s Head Coach is Brandon Iseman. His assistant coaches are Matt Caulder, Freddie Sawyer, Brandon Page, Robbie Brown, Chris Page, and Mike Donald.
Latta will face Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Friday, November 14.
The Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders’ defense has only allowed 6.4 points per game this season.
