Latta School District Announces New Latta Middle School Administration

The Latta School District is pleased to announce the new school administrative appointments at Latta Middle School.

Mrs. Carrie Ann Brigman has been named the new principal at Latta Middle School. Mrs. Brigman replaces Mrs. Stephanie Ard who has been named the Superintendent of the district. Principal Brigman is a graduate of Latta High School and has been a dedicated educator for 20 years. She has been serving in administration in Florence School District 1 for 12 years, and she is excited to return home. Mrs. Brigman brings a great deal of knowledge and skill necessary to lead at Latta Middle School. She has a vested interest in maintaining and improving the learning experience of all students within our community, and she prides herself on listening to the needs of her faculty and staff while providing them endless support.

Ms. Kimberly Bean has been named the new assistant principal replacing Stephanie Weatherford who has decided to return to the classroom to fulfill her love of teaching. Assistant Principal Bean has been employed in the Latta School District since 2007. She has dedicated 24 years to her profession as a teacher and is looking forward to serving as the next assistant principal. LMS has been her home where she taught 8th grade math and Algebra 1, and she was the JV and varsity volleyball coach at Latta High School for many years. She also served as Assistant Athletic Director at Latta High School where she gained a great deal of administrative experience.
This team has already been working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition and great start to the new school year. Both of these administrators bring a great deal of knowledge, experience, compassion, and understanding to this district. Superintendent Ard shared, “The future is bright, and our students will benefit greatly from this team. They are committed and dedicated, and they have the desire to see all of our students become productive citizens.”
