The Town of Latta Recreation Department held the opening ceremony on Friday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m., for the Latta Recreation League teams.
A large crowd was there. And, of course, food was able to be purchased.
Janie Nolan sang the National Anthem.
Introductions were made of all of the team players and coaches. Each player and the coaches were recognized by name as the event unfolded.
Dillon County Economic Development Executive Director Rodney Berry welcomed everyone and gave a motivational speech to the kids.
After the first ceremonial pitch was thrown out by Luke Huggins who represented Sheriff Jamie Hamilton, a T-Ball game was played.
The Town of Latta Recreation Director T.J. Bourgoin should be commended for a job well done.
The regular season is underway. Support all of the teams.
