Eric Dewayne Sellers, 44 years old, from Latta, has been arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. Sellers is charged with Failure to Stop for a Blue Light-no injury or death 1st offense, Possession of Cocaine- 1st offense, and Possession of MDMA/Ecstasy- 1st offense. Sellers was also wanted out of a neighboring jurisdiction.
At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, September 8th, Marion County deputies were on routine patrol when they observed a white sedan traveling at a high rate of speed on the North 501 Bypass. Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Sellers allegedly failed to stop for sirens or blue lights and eventually crashed his vehicle near Old Ebenezer and Dudley roads. There were no injuries.
Eric Sellers is currently incarcerated at the Marion County Detention Center.
