The Latta Lady Vikings defeated the Green Sea Floyds’ Lady Trojans 2-0 in junior varsity action played in Latta on Tuesday, September 17.
The scores were: set 1, Latta 25, Green Sea Floyds 21; and set 2, Latta 25, Green Sea Floyds 21.
In the closely contested set 1, Latta led 1-0 but the lead would change to Green Sea 4 and Latta 2. The set was tied several times throughout the set with the time at 21 before Latta took the set.
In the second set, Green Sea Floyds led 6-3 before Latta tied the set at 8. Latta kept the narrow until Latta built a 6-point lead, Latta 23 and Green Sea Floyds 17. Before the end of the set, Green Sea Floyds had cut the lead to 4.
