The Latta Vikings Junior Varsity girls team defeated the visiting Dillon Wildcats Junior Varsity team 9-1 in softball action played in Latta on Monday, April 22.
After holding Dillon scoreless in the top of the first inning, Latta added 6 runs to the scoreboard and never trailed in the game. Latta added 2 runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Dillon’s lone run came in the top of the third inning on a walk to #6, a steal by #6, and a single on a grounder up the middle by #18 that picked up the rbi.
Latta left the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning.
