The Latta High School Robotics Club will travel to Charleston on Saturday, February 1st to compete in the qualifier match and hopefully progress to the state level competition later this month.
Their two teams, the STEAM Punks and the Robo-Zombies consist of a mix of middle school and high school members, with some who are first-year in the club. The team sponsors are Jim O’hern and Robert McIntyre who share, “We’ve had a lot learning curves to bend out and work through and the struggle to get reliable robots capable of staying together on the field has been real!” The team will leave Latta High School on Saturday morning at 4:45 a.m., and you are encouraged to come out and see us off in style.
