The Latta 10U and 12U teams were treated to a meal and presented $250 checks by Boys To Men & Girls With Purpose at the Latta Community Center on Monday afternoon. They enjoyed hot dogs and chips and got a can of boiled peanuts to take home. Bobby Porter congratulated the teams and told them how proud he was of them. Latta Superintendent Stephanie Ard said she was also proud of everyone. She told them that the coaches and parents make sacrifices for all of them to be good in sports. She said L is for Latta, and they represented the school. She told them that athletics was a big part of her life. She encouraged them to enjoy the game, and be a good teammate. She also said she was proud of Bobby Porter and the good work he is doing in the community. Both teams are playing for the state championship.
