The Latimer Historical Committee is thrilled to announce the inaugural event in its “Let’s Talk About It” community conversation series, taking place on Saturday, December 14, at 3:00 PM. This engaging gathering will be held at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, located at 215 Covington Street in Latta, SC. During the event, Jannie Harriot will lead thought-provoking discussions with local residents, inviting them to share their perspectives on how they envision their heritage and legacy being documented, honored, and preserved for future generations.
This series aims to actively engage community members in shaping the future of our school. We invite residents to participate in a brief survey during the event, giving you a chance to express your ideas and opinions, ensuring your voice plays a vital role in our community’s future. Alumnus are especially encouraged to share their cherished memories through oral and video recordings as well as artifacts and memorabilia.
