The Lake View Lady Wild Gators defeated the Hannah-Pamplico Lady Raiders 11-3 in varsity softball action played on Saturday, May 11.
Lake View took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning of play due to an error.
In the second inning, E. King hit a double, Raven Locklear hit a double, and a dropped third strike by Hannah-Pamplico added to Lake View’s lead.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Isabella Davis hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Lake View’s Raven Locklear hit a home run in the top of the seventh inning.
Raven Locklear picked up the win for Lake View. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 6 hits, 3 earned runs, struck out 10, and walked no one.
The Raiders’ Kadence Poston took the loss. She pitched 5 innings and allowed 9 hits, 10 runs that were not earned, struck out 9, and walked 4. Davis pitched 2 innings and allowed 3 hits, 1 earned run, 6 strike outs, and walked not one.
Lake View had 12 hits in the game. M. Strickland, K. Blackmon, E. King, Raven Locklear, and C. Cox each had 2 hits for the Lady Wild Gators. E. King and Raven Locklear each had 2 rbi in the game.
Kadence Poston, J. Lee, and Davis each had 2 hits in 4 at-bats for Hannah-Pamplico.
