The Dillon Lady Wildcats returned home on Tuesday, January 20, with a 67-50 win over the Waccamaw Lady Warriors of Pawley’s Island.
Dillon led 19-9 after the first quarter of play. At halftime, the Lady Wildcats were up by 17 points, 35-18. After 3 quarters of play, Dillon led 51-36.
Each team attempted a total of 13 foul shots in the game.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 34 points. She had ten 2-point baskets, four 3-point baskets, and 2 free throws. Khw McKinnon added 22 points with eight 2-point baskets and two 3-point baskets. Azyriah Ford had a 3-point basket and 2 free throws for 5 points. Zyniah Pernell sank a 3-point basket. Jiana McGill sank 3 of 4 free throw attempts.
Waccamaw’s Ayami Prior led the Lady Warriors with 17 points. She had five 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and a free throw. Lilian Stratton had two 3-point baskets, a 2-point basket, and a free throw to place 9 points onto the scoreboard. Lilah Jennings also had 9 points. She connected for three 3-point baskets. Viana Bender had three 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 8 points. Avery Collins had three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Heaven Thomas sank a free throw.
15-2 Dillon will host Georgetown on Friday, January 23, at 6:00 p.m. Dillon is 4-0 in region play.
